Luggage, Suitcases, Duffles, Briefcase and Backpacks!
Luggage, Suitcases, Duffles, Briefcase and Backpacks – What to look for?
Today a bag is more than just a bag. There are purpose built bags for every occasion!
Whether you need a laptop bag to carry a laptop to work or you’re traveling overseas for an extended time, you’ll want a bag or luggage to suit your needs!
Here are some things to consider when looking for luggage, a suitcase, a duffle, a briefcase or a backpack:
Size – Firstly make sure you know what size you are after. A bag that is too big will mean that you are carrying something that is never full and much larger than necessary. A bag that is too small will be frustrating because it won’t fit in all that you want it to carry. Many suitcases come in luggage sets so that you will always have the right size luggage for the occasion.
Materials – What is the bag constructed from? Is it a material that is durable and will last? Is it an easy care material or will it need special treatment so that it doesn’t stain or show signs of wear easily? If you are buying a suitcase, you will need to decide if you want a hard case or a soft case.
Compartments – Do you want something open and with only one or two sections or something with many different compartments to help you organize yourself? A notebook bag will usually have several compartments. A suitcase will usually be open but one or two pockets can be handy for separating your items when traveling. Many backpacks and duffels also come with pockets and compartments.
Security – If you are traveling, you may want to ensure that your luggage is lockable. Some bags have a main section that is lockable but the pockets will still be accessible meaning that you may not end up using them when you are traveling.
Durability – Is the bag rigorous enough for the use you have planned for it? If you are traveling it may be tossed about and treated roughly. Make sure it is strong enough to handle this kind of treatment.
Maneuverability- If this is a bag to be carried, make sure it is comfortable to carry. Many bags now come with both handles and shoulder straps so you have an option as to how it will be carried. If this is a duffle or suitcase that is to be wheeled, make sure it is maneuverable and won’t tip over.
Zippers and Handles – Look for durability and strength here. A broken handle or zipper may mean that your bag is useless. Make sure these will last.
Color – Consider what color you want in your bag. If traveling a lot you may find that a black case makes it hard to easily pick out your luggage. Something that is different will mean that your luggage will stand out so you can identity it more easily.

Well done for posting on this subject. There is not enough content posted about it (not particularly good anyway). It is pleasing to see it receiving a little bit more coverage. Cheers!

Strik is nearly correct about $0401. PETs could fix the link pointer chain (and I think they even did) but they would not load a program at a different address than where it was saved from. So the directory listing had to have $0401 as start address. (The first PET rom even saved programs from $0400 onward, which was not a problem for newer PETs but would be for VIC-20, 64, etc due to the extra initial byte). Also: the “0 in the first line, before the disk name, is the drive number. Always 0 on single drives, but could of course be 1 on double drives.
